The quick-play scenario is generally similar to the standard base game, with two key differences:
- Players receive an extra planet and bonus points at the start.
- Two players act simultaneously and in parallel during the same turn.
This scenario is recommended for participants who are already well familiar with the game rules.
▌ Bonus Points
At the beginning, each player receives 5 bonus points, and an additional +5 points for a Level 3 planet. The planet must be located in the same sector as the headquarters planet. If no free Level 3 planet is available, the player must choose a different starting sector.
The game is played to 90 points.
▌ Parallel Turn
During each turn, two participants act at the same time. These can be two players who follow each other in order or are paired in another way. However, if there is an odd number of players, no one should constantly play alone without a parallel opponent. A possible solution is for the last odd player to team up with the first player of the next round, or another arrangement can be made.
If parallel players do not interact or interfere with each other, they simply proceed as they wish. If any disputes arise, here are some guidelines:
- Conflicts. Parallel players must announce if they intend to engage in combat with each other during that turn. In this case, they take turns moving their ships (including those that are stationary and attacking or colonizing). If they change their minds about fighting, the game continues as usual.
- Disputed Cells and Planets. If both players want to occupy the same cell, colonize the same planet, etc., they may resolve the conflict by drawing lots—for example, one player chooses "even," the other "odd."
