Two turbulent centuries filled with dramatic events have passed. The UC realized that it was no longer capable of effectively governing two galaxies and granted the colonists of Galaxy “X” partial autonomy, including the right to conduct their own inspections. The settlers in the new Galaxy welcomed this turn of events, but at the same time they understood their dependence on the Metropolises and their vulnerability to the native inhabitants of this dangerous territory.

Recognizing the value of forming alliances, the Civilizations of Galaxy “X” began to unite into Alliances. The logic behind their formation was simple — each civilization joined forces with those who shared its ideals. The Alliance of Freedom was formed by the Federations and the Republic. The Imperial Alliance and the Alliance of Anarchies consisted of civilizations whose names speak for themselves. Finally, the Dark Alliance was formed, bringing together the Monarchy and Chaos.

The colonists now face a formidable challenge — all known Civilizations of Galaxy “X”, setting aside their old differences, have embarked on a “crusade” against the inhabitants of the foreign Galaxy.
